When living in Westfield Massachusetts, she was a docent volunteer at The Dewey House (cir 1735) and did in-depth research on the history of The Connecticut River Valley. This exciting regional history inspired her to write the 4 book Woronoke historical romance series.

After settling in Savannah, she was captivated by the ghost stories and unique folklore. She began to write humorous ghost books about Savannah’s spooky hauntings that are guaranteed to make everyone laugh… even the dead.|

In 2014 she was diagnosed with a rare genetic liver disease, Autoimmune Hepatitis, and in 2019 she received the generous gift of life. It is from this experience that she wrote, The Giving, stories of organ donation. If this book helps one person, then it is enough.

JK Bovi is the proud mother of two sons and two grandchildren. She is retired and lives in Savannah Georgia with her husband. She enjoys writing and painting marshscapes representing the beautiful coastal Lowcountry.
